The result is an overall increase in LV stroke volume. In normal individuals, dynamic exercise is accompanied by an increase in left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) and other ejection indices with a slight decrease in left ventricular (LV) diastolic volume and a greater decrease in end-systolic volume. Isotonic exercise is accompanied by an increase in sympathetic output, resulting in an increase in heart rate and ventricular contractility.
